A serious incident occurred at noon on January 2 in Orikum, where Llogora Xhebroj, 52, killed his wife and then took his own life.
The brother and cousin of the deceased, in an interview with 'Albania Live' journalist Pamela Dervishi, recounted the moment they learned of the serious incident.
Adriatik Xhebroj, the 52-year-old's brother, confessed that he learned the bitter news from his younger brother, as he himself lives in the USA.
Meanwhile, the son of Llogora Xhebro's uncle stated that there were normal conflicts between the couple, while emphasizing that there was no information that they might have been in the process of divorce.
Excerpt from the interview:
Ferit Xhebroj: We met the couple in August. They had normal conflicts, as far as I know. I don't know anything about the divorce process. We heard that the (deceased) had left the tent because they were fighting with each other.
Adriatik Xhebroj : They had been married for about 22 years. I live in America. It was 8 in the morning, here it was 2 in the afternoon, my younger brother called me on the phone. From the moment I saw the call I realized something was up, he told me 'it happened like this'.
Ferit Xhebroj: At first we learned that the wife had been killed and then himself. We haven't spoken to the police. I don't know who was here. I know that the police came and investigated.
Adriatik Xhebroj: I had communications with the family of the deceased. We went, without any problems, we had coffee and left. Even yesterday when we went to the cemetery, some of us stayed there and we left normally, without any problems.
