A vehicle caught fire on Saturday evening on the Elbasan-Tirana road, near the Krraba Tunnel. The incident occurred around evening hours, temporarily disrupting the movement of vehicles on this segment.
According to preliminary information, the car was completely engulfed in fire and completely destroyed. Fortunately, the driver managed to get out in time and no one was injured.
Firefighters and traffic police arrived at the scene, where they intervened to extinguish the flames and normalize traffic.
The causes of the fire are not yet clear. A technical defect is suspected, but investigations to fully clarify the circumstances are ongoing.
