A serious accident occurred this evening in the village of Petovë near the FNSH. It is learned that a "Benz" type vehicle driven by Niko Shqepa hit two pedestrians, a married couple, and as a result of the strong impact, they sustained injuries.
It is reported that the injured Avni Meto and Hatixhe Meto were urgently transported to the Fier Regional Hospital to receive the necessary medical assistance and, according to sources, their lives are out of danger.
Police services and the investigation team are at the scene to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
"Around 18:20, on the "Fier-Libofshë" road axis, the Benz type vehicle driven by citizen N. Sh., 55 years old, hit 2 pedestrians, citizens AM, 62 years old, and HM, 55 years old, who are in hospital for medical assistance, out of danger to their lives.
The driver of the vehicle, citizen N. Sh., was escorted to the Police Station for further action.
"The investigation team is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident ," the police announced.
