A 22-year-old Albanian, identified as Dhjonisi Kapllani, was injured today around 2:20 a.m. on "Dodekanisou 86" street in the Peristeri neighborhood of Athens.
It was an "Audi" Q2 with license plate ZNZ-5931 that followed the "Smart" type vehicle in which the Albanian was traveling as a passenger. At the moment when both vehicles stopped, Dhjonisi Kapllani got out of the "Smart" and opened fire on him from inside the "Audi" vehicle.
The 22-year-old Albanian was wounded in the thigh by the shooting. After that, both vehicles quickly left in the direction of the defendant, leaving Kapllan injured.
An ambulance transported the injured to the hospital, while the police immediately arrived at the scene. 6 cartridges and 2 firearm shells, probably of 7.62 mm caliber, were found there.
It turns out that Dhjonisi Kapllani was released from prison yesterday after being convicted of criminal organization and drug trafficking. Also in 2022, together with other people, he shot with a firearm at the vehicle of a Greek citizen due to a personal dispute.
