The investigators in Durrës are sifting through all the elements of the murder by Pëllumb Meta's children in Shënavlash, to discover the motives of the murder.
News24 reports that it has learned from confidential sources that a strong track is that of property conflicts over the land, where the key figure is Pellumbi's eldest son, Hyseni.
The victim had about 12 dunyms of land. During the checks in the apartment, the police did not find these documents, which were held by the eldest son, who had promised his sister that he would get him out of prison with the land money.
The investigators are continuing the search and these documents have not yet been found, and it is even suspected of external collaborators who may have helped the son of the deceased. Pëllumb Meta had two plots, one in front of the apartment, while the other about 2 km away in an industrial area, land which was also put up for sale. According to the brother of the deceased, a meter of land costs up to 50 euros, where in total Pëllumbi's lands were worth up to 500 thousand euros.
So, a strange inscription was noticed by the investigators on the wall of the hut where the children buried their father. "Eni millionaire, 1 million dollars" is written on the wall. Pigeon's eldest son Hysen was called Eni for short.
According to the investigative team, the children had carried out the entire plan to hide the crime in detail, from the removal of the deceased's car, the burial and the hiding of the weapon, which, according to the police, was allegedly owned by the victim's son, Hyseni. What impressed the police the most in this crime was the calmness of the children and Pëllumbi's wife after the incident.
According to the investigative team, the children and their mother have given contradictory statements about the authorship of the crime, but based on the investigations so far, the police declare that the author of the shooting is Pëllumbi's eldest son, Hyseni, who collaborated with Hygerta's sister. Investigators have conducted tests at the gun range to test whether Hygerta knows how to use a gun.
The investigative group is investigating all the family members as participants in the crime, even though Pëllumbi's wife was prosecuted in a free state. The track of Hygerta's engagement that Pëllumbi wanted to betroth her unwillingly and domestic violence or incest have been ruled out by the investigators. Hygerta also underwent gynecological tests, where it was confirmed that we are not dealing with sexual abuse.
In their testimonies, the children state that family conflicts have been continuous in the family with the father, the last conflict was Hysen's with the deceased, where Hysen asked his father to buy him a car, even though he was unemployed and had just returned from Italy.
Hyseni had previously been an immigrant in England where he had also stayed in a camp, in one of the camps where many Albanian immigrants lost their lives and were mistreated. In England, it is not known what work Hyseni did, but then he went to Italy, where he did not work there either, and then he returned to Albania. 12 days after the return, the crime happened, where the children killed their father. The investigators have seized all the mobile phones of the deceased's children and there are suspicions that the crime was planned by the children, namely Hygerta and Hyseni, and the latter returned to Albania to carry out the plan.
But why did the children have so much hatred towards their father along with their mother and joined in this crime? Confidential sources told News24 that the investigators are also investigating a suspected extramarital affair of the victim for years, where it is suspected that Pëllumbi's wife and children were aware and this cause may have led to ongoing family conflicts and that it was the wife who may have raised the children with such a hatred of their father that they all conspired to kill him.
According to the same sources, there is evidence where Hyseni tells his sister to take over the crime because the latter will sell the land and get him out of prison. Likewise, older sister Bedria, who was engaged and was allowed by her uncle to attend her father's funeral, left her husband and went to her mother Blerina, who is staying with her parents./ News 24
