Drug traffickers from Albania and the Italian mafia will target English fans heading to Germany for Euro 2024. According to reports from the British media, hundreds of dealers, some based in the United Kingdom, are smuggling cocaine into Germany.
Europol has busted a plot to smuggle drugs into Germany using cars with secret compartments.
Officers arrested around 60 people in the UK, Albania, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands, but they warn the tour presents "a huge opportunity for drug traffickers. An Albanian gang source in Manchester told the Daily Star Sunday that the Albanians have taken take over the cocaine supply in Britain and they are well on their way to Germany.
"The operation is already in place for the euro. "If England fans want good things, they will be able to get them at a good price," the source said.
Meanwhile, it will be cheaper for England fans to stay in a brothel than in hotels at Euro 2024. Fans face some prices of over 1000%. A room in a three-star hotel in Cologne on June 25 – when England play Slovenia – costs upwards of £1,110, although it usually costs up to €100 a night.
But the city is home to the world's largest brothel, where rooms cost just £169 a night. Spread over 12 floors in the German city's red light district, Pascha houses over 120 prostitutes. And bosses say there is still plenty of room at the hostel.
"We have 13 single rooms available," confirmed a manager. "A room costs €199 (£169) and includes breakfast and entry to our nightclub and bordello." Covering 9,000 m2, Pascha - which opened 52 years ago in 1972 - can welcome up to 1,000 customers a day and will offer fans the chance to score themselves during the Euros.
