A 40-year-old Albanian man has been arrested by Italian police after being caught with a large quantity of drugs.
The Albanian, residing in the province of Turin, was found with 10 kg of heroin.
He was traveling in an SUV with his wife and two young children when he was stopped for a check by officers from the Milan Flying Squad.
During the inspection, officers discovered the drug shipment carefully hidden in the back of the child seat.
The 40-year-old was immediately arrested and transferred to the police station for routine checks.
Subsequent investigations, extended to his home in the province of Turin, led to the discovery and seizure of another three kilograms of heroin, confirming the importance of the suspect's supply chain. Investigators do not rule out further investigations to identify the network of contacts and the destination of the narcotic substance.
