Today, a decomposed skull was found by cemetery workers in Berat, which was inside a plastic bag.
It is learned that the skull belonged to a woman, but her identity is still unknown.
The police of Berat reacted and announced that the bones found near the city's cemetery will be sent for examination to the scientific police institute. The police emphasize that the found skull is not related to a criminal event.
"In the city cemetery, the employees of the municipal cemetery, while cleaning the side of the entrance road to the cemetery, have found an old transparent plastic bag, inside which there were human bone remains. The bone remains will be sent to the Scientific Police Institute, for further examinations.
The investigative group has been created, the forms for the examination of bone remains have been filled out at the Institute of Scientific Police, and work continues on the complete documentation of this case. From the first investigative actions, it appears that we are not dealing with criminal events," the police announced.
