Convicted of drugs and on parole, Albanian caught again with over 1 kg of

The Carabinieri of Pescara in Italy arrested an Albanian on charges of drug trafficking.

The operation was carried out with the help of anti-drug dogs of the Guardia di Financa, in a suspected apartment in Spoltore, where after the search, over 1 kg of pure cocaine was discovered, which would bring in more than 100 thousand euros in profits if sold at retail.

The arrested man is a 27-year-old man known to law enforcement for previous drug trafficking convictions. The operation began in the early hours of the morning when officers stopped a man, who was on probation after a drug conviction dating back to 2019, who was walking cautiously near his home, as if waiting for someone.

Upon seeing the soldiers, he immediately appeared very nervous and concerned, especially after being informed of the reason for their presence and that a personal and home search would be conducted for the purpose of searching for narcotics.

But the dog, named "Mell," approached the car, which was parked near the apartment, which was registered in the name of the suspect's partner. The officers' attention was then drawn to a small padlocked gate that borders a plot of land adjacent to the house, an area used as a children's playground, complete with swings, a slide and a small brick house where the dog's nose detected the presence of narcotics, Italian media reported.

During the search, a cellophane wrapper with the image of a man wearing a sombrero (Mexican hat) was discovered hidden in a shopping bag. Preliminary tests revealed that the wrapper contained 1 kilogram and 143 grams of cocaine, and the Albanian was arrested.
