Moreover, Laert Haxhiu, also a former child who burned down his house in 1997 and killed his nephew Bledar Haxhiu, enemy of Aldo Baren, was revealed as the leader of a gang with 15 members, executioner and orderer of murders. It seems that the friendship between them was established around 2010, when Tafani returned to Lushnjë again.

The stolen car found in his partner's garage after the robbery was revealed was suspected to be used in other criminal events. Marjus Tafani seized a hotel in front of Savra, on the Lushnjë-Fier highway. He tried to resist, but was quickly surrounded. Immediately after the arrest, he was confronted with facts that shocked him. He was told that irrefutable evidence had been found, not only for the robbery in Astir, but also for the murder of Albi Bashali in Peqin, footage of him and the license plates of a vehicle. In front of them, Tafani surrendered and started the confession that made the investigator enthusiastic. The 39-year-old also carried a pistol with cartridges ready for firing, about 200 euros and 3 mobile phones.
"He was resourceful and paranoid, he always kept his gun ready," says the same source about Tafani, who is currently accused of 19 crimes, murder, trespass, threats, and robbery, despite his "repentant" status.
