11 people were arrested by the Spanish police during an anti-drug operation where 12 thousand "cannabis sativa" roots and a large arsenal of weapons were discovered. The police carried out 23 house checks in different locations in the province of Granada, where 130 thousand euros in cash, jewelry worth 150 thousand euros, 14 vehicles and 1 motorcycle were seized.

Operation "Nazarí Ordo" has made it possible to dismantle this criminal organization accused of crimes of cultivation, production and trafficking of drugs, possession of weapons without a permit, money laundering or electricity fraud.

In the province of Granada, the Civil Guard carried out 23 house searches in the cities of Armilla, Dúrcal, Vegas del Genil, La Zubia, Las Gabias, Albolote, Torre Cardela, Cogollos Vega, Peligros and the capital of Granada.

Several firearms were recovered, including 1 Kalashnikov, 1 9mm pistol, 2 short to long gun converters, 3 carbines, 3 tasers, 1 silencer, bulletproof vest, handcuffs and multiple knives.

In total, more than 12,000 cannabis sativa plants were seized, in addition to 81 kilograms of vacuum-packed material.

A few months ago, the Civil Guard dismantled several marijuana production centers in the province of Granada and discovered that these centers belonged to a criminal group based in the capital of Granada.

This criminal structure was supported by an agricultural workshop, also owned by the organization. Through it, it had a double function: it was the one that supplied all the material needed to set up the production centers and was also used for money laundering.

The organization was linked to other criminal organizations in countries such as Romania, Albania and Italy, the last recipients of the drug. Some of these criminal groups used high-end vehicles as payment for the marijuana they received.

During the investigations, the Civil Guard discovered that the group consisted of the people already arrested and that the main perpetrators belonged to the same family clan. The produced marijuana ended up in a storage center set up in a house in the town of Híjar-Las Gabias and was transported hidden in "caletas" where weapons and money were also moved.

Agents have also discovered that they often staged illegal scams at a facility they owned with individuals from other organizations to funnel drug-trafficking money.

Last week, simultaneous checks were carried out with the participation of more than 200 agents of the Civil Guard, including the Rapid Action Group of the Civil Guard and the Reserve and Security Group. Agents from the Civil Security Unit, Civil Security patrols and the Granada Judicial Police also attended.
