Thanks to the police intelligence and as a result of the in-depth investigations that are being carried out intensively within the police operation coded "Rule of Law", in order to clarify the criminal events that happened recently and to prevent other possible criminal events, the specialists of The Section for the Investigation of Crimes against Life, in cooperation with the services of the Kurbin Police Station, evaluating the information provided by the police intelligence, have prevented a possible criminal event.
At midnight, in the place called "Red Field Crossroads", Kurbin, the services of the Kurbin Police Station and the National Security Forces signaled a stop to a vehicle suspected of being driven by a citizen who was going to commit murder. The driver of the vehicle, citizen O. H., just saw the Police services, increased the speed, risking the lives of the Police officers, and in the village of Gurëz he abandoned the vehicle and, taking advantage of the darkness, quickly left.
During the search of the vehicle, the Police services found a high-precision sniper firearm, with a comb with cartridges in it and a bag with other cartridges for this weapon. Following the in-depth investigative actions for this case, the citizen M. D., 21 years old, resident of the village of Gurëz, Kurbin, was arrested, and the citizen Gj. M., 30 years old, resident of Fushë Kuqe, Kurbin, suspected of being an accomplice of the citizen O. H., 23 years old, resident of the village of Gurëz, Kurbin (announced wanted), for the criminal offense "Providing conditions and material means for committed murder" and "Unauthorized production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition of war".
National Security forces, those of DVP Lezhë and the Kurbin Police Station continue to control the area, for the capture of citizens O. H. and Gj. M. The investigative work continues in the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezhë, for the identification of other citizens involved in this criminal activity and for its complete legal documentation. The procedural materials were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office, for further action", informs the police
