The member of a criminal organization, wanted by Italy, was arrested today in Golem.
The 46-year-old is a member of a criminal organization active in the areas of sale and trafficking of narcotics.
He was arrested within the coded operation "Participant", which was developed on the basis of information provided by police intelligence and exchanged between the counterpart offices of Interpol.
"During the operation, in Golem, Kavaje, the citizen EM, 46 years old, declared internationally wanted, was located, captured and provisionally arrested, to be extradited to Italy.
The Court of Florence has assigned the 46-year-old, the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal activities of possession, sale and trafficking of narcotics, carried out within the criminal organization.
"Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome are cooperating for the extradition of this citizen to Italy," the announcement states.
