A 25-year-old Albanian man who was declared an international wanted man has been arrested by police in Spain.

The Shkodra Court has imposed a prison sentence on charges of several criminal offenses: "Cultivation of narcotic plants", "Production and sale of narcotics", "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization or structured criminal group".
The 25-year-old arrested in Spain is expected to be extradited to Albania to serve his sentence.

Within this phase, thanks to the information provided by the Criminal Police Department of the State Police and the real-time exchange through Interpol Tirana with Interpol Madrid, it became possible to locate in Spain, capture and arrest for the purpose of extradition, the 25-year-old internationally wanted citizen, born in Laç.
The First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Shkodra, in 2023, assigned this citizen the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Cultivation of narcotic plants", "Production and sale of narcotics", "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization or structured criminal group".
The 25-year-old is accused of cultivating 10,900 Cannabis Sativa narcotic plants in 2023, in the village of Kir, Pult administrative unit, and near the village of Theth, Shkodër.
"Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Madrid, continues to work to finalize the extradition procedures of this citizen to Albania," the police announced.
