An asset worth about 600 thousand euros has been seized from an Albanian by the Italian authorities.
The wealth of the Albanian is suspected to have been acquired through an international drug trafficking organization, while the Albanian is the leader of the gang.
It is learned that the police confiscated a villa in Caselle Torinese, 4 luxury cars, an entire business complex operating in the construction sector, cash and bank accounts.
Meanwhile, the Albanian has been in prison since May 2023, as part of the operation called "Neë Bottom Barrel". In the early 2000s he was arrested on charges of being part of a criminal organization aimed at aiding illegal immigration, a crime for which he was subsequently convicted in 2002.
In the following years he was convicted of receiving stolen goods and, between 2003 and 2004, he was convicted along with other Albanian nationals for crimes related to international drug trafficking. The police also continued the preliminary seizure of assets worth over 200,000 euros, which are attributed to another author of Albanian origin, arrested in the act for possessing and trading a kilogram of cocaine last Christmas evening. The seizure included an apartment, 2 luxury cars, a store in Nichelino, cash and bank accounts.
