A 30-year-old man was arrested by the police, while his father was declared wanted, for illegal possession of weapons. The arrested man is Saimir Sefaj, while the wanted man is Shefqet Sefaj.
In their apartment, the police found and seized 1 Kalashnikov and 1 pistol, as well as 4 magazines and 157 live ammunition.
"As a result of the checks carried out with the support of police intelligence, with the objective of detaining citizens who possess firearms without a permit and are a potential threat to public safety, the services of the Shijak Police Commissariat finalized the "Double" operation."
During the operation, citizen SS, 30 years old, was arrested in flagrante delicto and his father, citizen Sh. S., 54 years old, was declared wanted.
During the searches of their apartment in Maminas, 2 firearms (Kalashnikov and pistol), 4 magazines and 157 live ammunition were found.
Efforts are underway to capture the 54-year-old.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Durrës Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
