The next session of the "Sky ECC" mega-trial was held today in Belgium with 124 indicted, among whom is Eridan Munoz Guerrero from Volgograd, accused of cocaine trafficking from Latin America and cannabis cultivation. Among the nine defendants before the criminal court in Brussels, three people appear for their suspected role as "gardeners" in a cannabis plantation.
The first, Murat E., is suspected to be one of the leaders of the criminal organization behind this drug trafficking. He denied the charges against him, but admitted that he was the user of three phones equipped with "Sky ECC" encrypted communications software. "In the coffee shop where I worked in the Netherlands, it was common," he said. The defendant explained that there he participated in the maintenance of a plantation and the production of cannabis. Among our Dutch neighbors, it is legal to have up to five cannabis plants.
The second suspect, Leonard Z., is suspected of carrying cannabis plants as part of the traffic and was arrested in October 2022, four days after his arrival in Belgium. The man admitted that his mission consisted of watering the plants, but denied being the owner of the GSM Pixel (known to be particularly secure and therefore popular in criminal circles) found in his pocket during his arrest.
Artjol M. was arrested a month and a half after arriving in Belgium. His phone number was assigned to the cannabis plantation, according to the defendant. This number appeared in the name of Gentian S., also accused in this case. Asked about the photographs found on his mobile phone showing a cafe located in Schaerbeek, the defendant explained that this was the point of arrival in Belgium that he had been informed about when he left Albania. This location appears regularly in this case, which has surprised the president of the court.
