A serious incident was recorded this afternoon in the Shënavlash area of Durrës, where an apartment caught fire and as a result a 42-year-old woman lost her life.
Preliminary information suggests that the fire was caused by an electrical spark, while the 42-year-old woman is suspected of having died as a result of asphyxiation.
Firefighters have arrived at the scene and have managed to extinguish the fire, while the investigation team is at the scene and is working to fully clarify the case.
"Durrës/Preliminary information/ At around 2:00 PM, Durrës Police were notified that a fire had broken out in a house in the village of Shënavlash, suspected to be the result of an electrical spark.
As a result, it is suspected that citizen KM, 42 years old, lost her life from asphyxiation. Police and fire services were able to extinguish the fire. The investigation team is working to fully clarify and document the circumstances of this case ," the police announced.
