A 29-year-old man has been arrested by police in Durrës, after being accused of being the perpetrator of several thefts in the coastal city.
According to the police, the arrested person is Domeniko Ceni. The young man stole 3 times, during the period December 2025-January 2026, amounts of money, jewelry and various equipment, from the apartment of an Italian citizen, in Ferme Sukth.
He is also suspected of having stolen from 5 other apartments.
During a physical search by police, the 29-year-old was found to be in possession of a sporting pistol that he was carrying without a permit, as well as a mask and a pair of gloves that he was suspected of using to commit the thefts.
"Durrës/The operation codenamed "Target" is finalized, to solve the thefts. A 29-year-old man, suspected of being the perpetrator of thefts in several apartments, is identified, captured and put in handcuffs.
The 29-year-old is suspected of stealing 3 times, amounts of money, jewelry and equipment, from the apartment of an Italian citizen, in Ferme Sukth, as well as from 5 other apartments.
During the physical search, he was found wearing a mask and a pair of gloves that he allegedly used to commit the thefts, and a sports pistol that he was carrying without a permit.
As a result of the investigations conducted by the Crime Investigation specialists of the Durrës Police Commissariat, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, within the framework of the coded operation "Target", for the investigation and documentation of thefts, the citizen was identified, arrested and put in handcuffs: -DC, 29 years old, resident of Sukth.
Investigations suspect that this citizen stole 3 times, during the period December 2025-January 2026, amounts of money, jewelry and various equipment, from the apartment of an Italian citizen, in Ferme Sukth. He is also suspected of stealing from 5 other apartments.
At the time of the arrest, during the physical search, the 29-year-old was found to be in possession of a sporting pistol that he was carrying without a permit, as well as a mask and a pair of gloves that he was suspected of using to commit the thefts.
Investigations are ongoing to uncover other thefts that this citizen may have committed.
The procedural materials were referred to the Durrës Prosecutor's Office for further action, the criminal offenses of "Theft", committed more than once and "Unlicensed production and possession of hunting and sporting weapons" , the police announced.
