
The photos of young people from Kosovo who were arrested today as part of the coded operation "Transportuesi 2" are published.
The police have revealed the details of the operation carried out in Tirana, where 10 firearms were seized coming from Kosovo to Albania by bus.
During the operation in the parking lot of a bus terminal in Lundre, citizens Blerim Krasniqi 28 years old, Benjami Shala 20 years old, Edonis Thaçi 25 years old, Muhamed Krasniqi 20 years old were caught and arrested in the act.
Blerim Krasniqi is suspected of having put a bag in the bus with citizen Edonis Thaçi, inside which 10 firearms, pistols, 10 combs and a quantity of military ammunition were found.
Then, the citizen Blerim Krasniqi, in cooperation with Muhamed Krasniqi, followed the bus with their vehicle throughout the route.
From the verifications carried out, it was found that the firearms were trafficked in Tirana, with the aim of selling them at values of 1,500-3,000 euros. From the verifications carried out, it is suspected that the owner of the bus line, citizen E. Th., together with other citizens, has trafficked firearms to Albania, in several cases.
As material evidence, 10 firearms, pistols, combs and combat ammunition, 1 vehicle and 5 mobile phones were seized.
The criminal group from Kosovo is suspected to have been trafficking firearms from Kosovo to Albania for 1 year, while for 7 months they were under surveillance by the police. Blerim and Muhamed Krasniqi, the cousins, put their guns in the bus line owned by Edonis Thaçi.
The latter was aware of the criminal activity and cooperated with the other three arrested persons. Earlier, this criminal group brought weapons to Albania, mainly pistols, in Tirana, Vlorë, Saranda and Korçë.
It is suspected that the brought weapons were also sent to Greece, on behalf of the criminal groups there.
