A serious incident happened in the city of Korça, after a mother and daughter were found dead inside their apartment in district 17.
The victims are Eleni and Ornela Vangjeli, 74 and 54 years old.
Previously, it was learned that the door of the apartment was closed, while it was the firefighter who opened the door, finding both citizens dead in the apartment. It was their family members who had lost contact, as they did not answer the phone and alerted the authorities.
The suspicions are that the girl passed away first and then the mother also passed away, where the old woman was sick.
The circumstances of the event are not yet known, there are no suspicions of a criminal event as no signs of violence or other signs have been found. It is expected that forensic expertise will be carried out to fully clarify the circumstances.
" On 01.02.2024, around 16:42, in district no. 17, Korçë, in the apartment, citizens EV, 75 years old, and her daughter OV, 54 years old, were found dead, without signs of violence. From the data of money, it turns out that these citizens had not answered their phone calls to their families for several days.
The door of their apartment was opened by the fire services, as it was locked from the inside. In advance, it is suspected that these two citizens may have lost their lives due to natural causes.
The investigative group is working to determine the causes of the loss of life of these citizens and to clarify the circumstances of the event ," the police announced.
