Donika Jonuzi has denied that she is the orchestrator of the murder of her husband Ilir Osmani, who was fatally hit by a car in Peja, Kosovo.
Donika explains that she was separated from Iliri and had a protection order, while she says that her ex-husband did not let her live in Albania, as he threatened to kill her and that he had burned her house.
"He threatened us, Iliri told us he would burn our house, I have a protection order, it's been a year since I separated from him. He threatened to kill us all as a family. He took his life because Ilir was always looking for us to find us and kill us. He burned our house in Albania and my nephew crushed him" , said Donika Jonuzi for RTSH 24.
Donika declares that her husband threatened and tortured her, adding that her nephew did not want to kill her, but kept quiet to scare her.
"My nephew has been arrested. He didn't want to kill him, but to scare and injure him after seeing him on the street, because he didn't want to leave us. We came to Kosovo only because he wouldn't let us live peacefully in Albania. No, it was not orchestrated, Ilir was hiding because the police wanted him. We filed the complaint that burned our house", said Donika Jonuzi.
She also adds that her husband was aggressive and a drug user.
"I was at home when the accident happened, I gave the testimony to the police. I didn't know that the Illyrian was in Peja, I knew he was in Elbasan, where he was wanted by the police because there are two complaints against him. I came to Peja after I separated from Iliri, since Iliri did not allow me to live in Albania, he grabbed my mother by the throat and threatened to kill her. He drank a lot of drugs and was aggressive, he stabbed me several times, tortured me, beat me, here in Pejë I am living a life of disaster because he did not let me stay in peace in Albania" , said Donika Jonuzi.
Ilir Osmani was hit to death in Peja by a car driven by 23-year-old Serxhio Jonuzi, nephew of Donika Jonuzi. Sergio Jonuzi was arrested by the authorities of Peja in Kosovo.
