Italian police have arrested a young Albanian man in Verona after he was caught with drugs.
The operation was carried out during targeted investigations to prevent and combat drug trafficking carried out by police officers.
Agents spotted a young man from Eastern Europe hiding suspiciously in the Porto San Pancrazio area, near Porta Vescovo.
After a brief search, the 21-year-old Albanian entered a basement garage, only to emerge a few minutes later with a backpack.

At that point, a check was carried out: several packages containing heroin were found inside the bag.
A subsequent search of the garage used by the young man led to the discovery of other narcotics and cutting material, for a total amount of approximately 6 kilograms of heroin and 15 kilograms of cutting material, intended for domestic trafficking.
At the end of the formal procedures, the young man was arrested for possession of narcotics with the intent to traffic and was sent to the Verona-Montorio prison, where he remains at the disposal of the judicial authorities until the validity of the arrest.
