Anti-cannabis operation in Shkodër, 5 plots are discovered and 1056 plants

An anti-cannabis operation carried out in the territory of Shkodra district led to the discovery of 5 plots of cannabis. 

According to the police, during this phase of the mega-operation, in Shkodër and Malësi i Madhe, 10,536 plants and 728 cannabis seedlings were found and destroyed. Specifically, the plants were found in Dukagjin, Shale and Postribe.

"The national anti-cannabis mega-operation codenamed "Clean Territory" continues.

Intensive controls throughout the territory of the district, with the aim of identifying and cracking down on attempts to cultivate narcotic plants.

In this phase of the mega-operation, the Shkoder Local Police Directorate, the Shkoder Police Station, the Malësi e Madhe Police Station, the Vau i Deja Police Station and 2 units of the National Security Force, the Shkoder Unit, were involved.

30 control groups (a total of 170 police officers) and 6 high-quality drones were engaged for territory controls.

During this phase of the mega-operation, in Shkodër and Malësi i Madhe, 10,536 plants and 728 cannabis seedlings were found and destroyed.

Specifically, in Dukagjin, Shale and Postribe, 6,600 narcotic plants planted in the ground were found and destroyed.

In the Kelmend administrative unit, Malësi e Madhe, 3528 cannabis plants planted in the ground and 728 cubes of narcotic seedlings (still not planted in the ground) were found and destroyed.

In Vau e Deja, 408 cannabis plants planted in the ground were found and destroyed.

During this phase of the mega-operation for the destruction of narcotic plants, investigative groups, during the inspection of the scene, have found material evidence and traces that will lead to the identification of the perpetrators of cultivation and the financiers of this criminal activity.

The investigative structures of the Shkodra Local Police Directorate and subordinate police stations, in cooperation with the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office, continue the work to identify, capture and prosecute the perpetrators of this criminal activity," the police announced.
