
The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal of businessman Pëllumb Gjoka. The court contested the decision of the Special Appeal to uphold the measure of 'prison arrest'. He is accused by SPAK of committing the criminal offense of 'premeditated murder', in collaboration with Gjin Ndoj.
The decision was taken by the trial body composed of Ilir Panda, Albana Boksi and Medi Bici. The trial body decided "Rejection of the appeal presented by the petitioner Pëllumb Gjoka, against the decision no. 30 (87-2023-45), dated 15.02.2024 of the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime
Pëllumb Gjoka is also known in the media for his political connections with Prime Minister Edi Rama. Gjoka, a name of the underworld, has been announced by the Rama government as a strategic investor.
