A 55-year-old Albanian citizen has lost his life as a result of a serious road accident in the "Pyrgos Ilias" area, in the Peloponnese, Greece.
According to Greek police, the victim, Fatmir Dyrmishi, was riding his bicycle at an intersection at the entrance to the city when, under circumstances that are still unclear, he was hit by a truck. The collision caused serious injuries to the Albanian.
Local sources report that the 55-year-old was rushed to the hospital, but despite the doctors' efforts, he could not survive.
The body has been taken to the hospital morgue, while Greek authorities have launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident. Meanwhile, the truck driver has been escorted by police.
It is learned that the victim lived alone in the Pirgos area, while his family is in Albania.
