Two brothers, internationally wanted by Italian authorities, have been arrested in Durrës after being accused of being part of a criminal drug trafficking organization.
The two brothers, Ergis and Arbin Hoxha, 32 and 34 years old, are accused by the Brescia court of the criminal offenses of "Criminal organization" and "Drug trafficking".
Albanian authorities have initiated the necessary procedures to enable the extradition of the young men.
"The operation codenamed "Brothers" is being finalized, for the capture of 2 citizens on international wanted list.
Two brothers accused by the Court of Brescia as members of a criminal organization that trafficked narcotics were captured and arrested with the aim of extradition to Italy.
As a result of the checks carried out based on information obtained operationally by the structures of the Durrës Local Police Directorate, and the exchange of information with Interpol Tirana, the police operation codenamed "Brothers" was finalized, for the capture and arrest with the aim of extradition to Italy, of the following citizens:
EH, 32 years old and AH, 34 years old, residents of the village of Manzë.
These citizens were declared internationally wanted after the Court of Brescia, Italy, charged them with the criminal offenses of "Criminal Organization" and "Drug Trafficking".
"Interpol Tirana will carry out the procedures in cooperation with Interpol Rome, for the extradition of the 2 brothers to Italy," the police announced.
