16 people were injured by fireworks and other pyrotechnic devices during the turn of the year.
The Tirana police informs that the injured have been brought to the hospital for medical assistance.
While a 20-year-old man was slightly injured in the leg by a gunshot while he was in the yard of his apartment. According to the police, it is suspected that the bullet was in free fall after being shot in the air from another location.
"During the New Year's Eve celebrations, 16 citizens were presented to the hospital for treatment allegedly injured by pyrotechnic substances, while a 20-year-old KR citizen was slightly injured on his feet in the yard of the apartment, on "Selaudin Zorba" street, allegedly by the free fall of a bullet.
Those injured by the pyrotechnic items have left for their homes after receiving treatment ," the police announced.
