This afternoon, a massive fire engulfed a residential complex in the area known as "Farmacia 10" in Tirana, near the QSUT, causing extensive material damage.
The fire appears to have started in a market on the first floor and then spread rapidly throughout the building. As seen in the video, a small fire then grew into a large one, burning down the entire facade.
8 fire engines, 2 helicopters and around 50 people were deployed to the scene, while police forces, RENEA and the army also joined the operation to evacuate residents and bring the flames under control.
Meanwhile, 11 injured people were taken to the QSUT, fortunately without serious injuries. After several hours of intensive work, the flames were brought under control by the firefighting forces./ Pamphlet
