The Tirana Court has imposed the security measure "prison arrest" on Eduart Afmataj, suspected of being the author of the murder of Artur Cangu, an event that occurred a few days ago in the Bruz Mali area of Nikla.
According to preliminary investigations, the conflict between the two men is suspected to have started over a property issue. Sources indicate that initially it was Artur Cangu who hit Afmataj in the arm with a small scythe.
Afmataj then allegedly took a "couple" type shotgun and shot the 48-year-old, killing him on the spot.
After the incident, the perpetrator fled the scene of the crime, but was arrested a few hours later by police forces in a remote area.
