RENEA caught her in her apartment with a gun, the court sentences

Andrea Kalemi, one of the main members of the "Kalemi" family in Memaliaj, which has been in open war with Edmond Papa's group for several years, has been sentenced to 2 years in prison.

The decision to sentence Kalemi was made by the Gjirokastra court, which found the defendant Kalemi guilty and sentenced him to 2 years in prison on the charge of "Unlicensed Possession of Firearms".

While in its claim, the prosecution had requested Kalemi's sentence of 2 years and 5 months in prison. During the trial, Kalemi requested a summary trial while admitting that the weapon was his, but he kept it in the apartment for self-defense and not criminal purposes.

In issuing the decision to sentence Kalemi, the Court also took into account a technical ballistics expert report of the weapon, which highlighted that the pistol seized in Kalemi's apartment was classified as a firearm, but was not technically capable of firing a projectile, due to the lack of a mechanism.

Andrea Kalemi was arrested by RENEA in August 2024 in Memaliaj, just 1 month after his opponents killed his father Shyqo Kalemi, and two other innocent people, Gledio Muka and Marsel Çela.

At the time of the arrest, Kalemi was in the apartment with Andrea Boden, a person internationally wanted for the murder of Edmond Papa in Tirana.

During the search, a firearm, a police vest, a double-barreled shotgun and other items were seized from Kalemi. Andrea Kalemi is the son of Aleksandër Sadikaj's uncle who was killed in Tirana.

The gunfight between members of the Kalemi and Papa families began in Greece, where Denis Grabocka from Korça and Ari PAPA from Saranda were killed.

The bloody attacks continued in Tirana, Saranda and Memaliaj, recording several victims./ OraNews
