
Hekuran Maleçka and Fiqiri Pali, the latter a businessman, are expected to be investigated by SPAK, regarding suspicions of vote buying in the Dibra District.
Pali and Maleçka were stopped by DP supporters in Maqellarë, under suspicion that they were going to buy votes, in the framework of the May 11 parliamentary elections.
Representatives of the Democratic Party stopped two vehicles on the pretext of buying votes from Socialist Party exponents, which have taken a new turn.
The Dibër Local Police Directorate has announced that the procedural materials regarding the incident have been referred to SPAK, for the criminal offense of "Active corruption in elections."
According to the official announcement, the suspects in this crime are citizens HM, 54 years old, and businessman Fiqiri Pali, 57 years old. The latter turned out to be the owner of a Mercedes Maybach vehicle where, during the search conducted by the prosecution and judicial police officers, 4,500 dollars, 1,000 pounds and fuel tanks were found.
A second search of the vehicle, which also contained members of the electoral headquarters of the SP candidate, Blendi Klosi, revealed no illegal items. The prosecution has also ordered the seizure of the mobile phones of some of those present at the scene, with the aim of investigating a possible organized vote-buying scheme.
"Following the investigations conducted regarding the event of 09.05.2025, in Maqellarë, procedural materials were referred to SPAK, for the criminal offense of "Active Corruption in Elections", against citizens HM, 54 years old; and FP, 57 years old", the Police announced.
The Dibra police have also referred to SPAK the candidate for deputy of the 'Greater Albania Alliance' coalition and three other people. According to the police, they have committed the criminal offenses of "Self-judgment" and "Obstruction of the movement of road transport vehicles".
