Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky presented a proposal for a trilateral meeting between him and the presidents of the United States and Russia, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.
At the same time, he complained that Russia has massed 50,000 soldiers on the border with northern Ukraine.
"The Kremlin's strongest forces are currently on the front line in Kursk, in western Russia. Russia wants a security zone of about six miles," Zelensky said.
He added, however, that Kiev has taken measures to prevent Moscow from carrying out a large-scale offensive in the region.
"Their largest and strongest forces are currently on the Kursk front to push back our forces and prepare offensive actions against the Sumy region ," Zelensky concluded.
