Greek police have arrested 3 Albanians wanted in Greece and Switzerland.
It is learned that at the Kakavija border crossing point, two Albanians were arrested, who were expected to be sentenced by the Three-Member Court of Appeal for Crimes of Western Macedonia with 1 year in prison and by the One-Member Court of Minor Offenses of Florina, with a fine of 1,500 euros, specifically for violating the legislation on foreigners.
Meanwhile, in Ioannina, another Albanian was arrested by police officers of the Under-Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Prosecution. After police checks, a European arrest warrant was issued against him by the Swiss authorities on drug charges, which under Swiss law are punishable by a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. The arrested man was escorted to the relevant prosecutor's office.
The identities of the 3 arrested Albanians are still unknown.
