An attempted robbery occurred at a currency exchange unit in the city of Gjirokastra.
The incident took place on '18 September' Boulevard, where it is believed that a masked person entered an exchange and attempted to rob it.
According to the police, the perpetrator is suspected of using an object that appeared to be a firearm, attempting to rob the currency exchange point.
Gjirokastra police went to the scene to identify the person who attempted to commit the robbery.
Police are reviewing security cameras to identify the perpetrator. It is learned that the person committed the act in an attempt to withdraw money from the currency exchange point.
The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to clarify and document the circumstances of the case.
"Around 11:45, in the "18 Shtatori" neighborhood, it is suspected that an unidentified citizen, using an object that appeared to be a firearm, attempted to rob a currency exchange point.
Police services immediately went to the scene, managed the subject's cameras, and are conducting checks in the area, with the aim of identifying and capturing the perpetrator.
"The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to clarify and document the circumstances of the case," the police announced.
