The Trento Carabinieri have arrested an Albanian in Bolzano, suspected of involvement in drug trafficking, after a surveillance operation that lasted several days.
According to investigators, authorities had been closely monitoring his movements, documenting suspicious meetings with people suspected of being potential drug buyers. After gathering data, officers intervened near his apartment, at a moment when he least expected it.
During the physical search, a dose of cocaine and a rubber baton were found on him. Then, due to the proximity to the apartment, a search was also conducted at the house, where about 50 other doses of cocaine, similarly packaged, were discovered, as well as a quantity of about 10 grams of cocaine, a precision scale and a considerable amount of money.
According to the authorities, the arrested person was illegally present on Italian territory. He has been placed in custody and is expected to appear before the court for the security measure.
