After Ilaria Sula, who was massacred by her boyfriend, another Albanian has been found dead in Italy.
The incident took place in Montecilfone, where a 27-year-old woman of Albanian origin was found without signs of life near a bridge known as the "Sheriff's Bridge", on the road connecting Larino with Bifernina. The news has been confirmed by local authorities and has sparked strong reactions in the local community.
According to initial information, the alarm was raised by her husband, a 51-year-old man who lived in the same village. He told the carabinieri that he was worried about her condition and had gone out to look for her, only to find her hanging from a tree near the overpass. The carabinieri, the Termoli firefighters and the emergency medical teams immediately intervened at the scene, who unfortunately confirmed her death.
The Public Prosecutor's Office of Larino has opened an investigation with the hypothesis of "incitement to suicide", to clarify the full circumstances of the event. An autopsy has been ordered and will be carried out on May 2 at the morgue of the "San Timoteo" hospital in Termoli.
According to local sources, the woman lived alone with her seven-year-old son and worked at a reception center for immigrants. She is said to have broken off her relationship with her husband after a marital crisis. Her husband, who has a history of problems with the law, was questioned for hours by investigators, but at the moment there are no suspects registered in the investigation.
The villagers, shocked by the loss, remember the young woman as a devoted and loving mother, who had a very strong bond with her son. Doubts about the circumstances of her death are numerous, with many relatives and acquaintances finding it difficult to believe in a suicide. “She was always smiling, her child was her life,” say her acquaintances.
