Talo Çela, one of the most wanted people of the State Police, Anti-Terrorist structures and the State Intelligence Service, is widely believed to have left Albania, settling in a Latin American country, with a changed identity.
The man who among the members of the group was called "Moma", "Katnari" and then received the nickname "Fox", due to escaping and hiding very successfully, bringing about the failure of dozens of police operations, appears in the communications of "Sky" that he is was preparing his departure from the country, showing the opinion that he would settle in Brazil under a different name.
"...I will go to Brazil, there, under a different name, the test came out here for Rinas, I have no place to hang around here in Albania. It takes 20 years here, plus these fur murders..." says Talo Çela in "Sky".
From this communication he understands that Talo Çela was facing a sentence in the case of "Rinas" and feeling the great pressure from the state authorities, he thinks about a final escape plan from Albania.
Talks about Talos' escape plan to Brazil took place on July 14, 2020, almost 1 year and 3 months after the super robbery of millions of euros carried out inside the Tirana-Vienna plane at Rinas airport.
The event that shocked the banking system and national security, so much so that the Security Commission was urgently convened and the Rinas Airport was surrounded by the Military Police and the "Commando" Forces of the Army, took place in April 2019.
After the robbery, the spokeswoman of "Austrian Airlines", Tanja Gruber, declared at that time for the AFP news agency, that this airline will no longer carry out cash transfers from Tirana to Vienna.
Talo Çela was wanted by the Serious Crimes Department after Alkond Bengasi, one of the arrested, had initially agreed to cooperate and tell what he knew about the incident.
According to the police, Talo Çela was the organizer of this super-robbery together with the brothers Çala and Gramoz Murataj. But on the other hand, Talo Çela himself in the communications of "Sky" admits that he was one of the leaders of the robbery and the driver of the white van with the inscription "Tax Investigation".
But the most wanted man, Talo Çela, says that the state has no evidence against him for this event. On January 7, 2021, Talo Çela wrote to citizen Mariola Mandi, saying that Alkond Bengasi has opposed every accusation against us.
"...the spy withdrew the charge in the case of Rinas and has denied any charge against us..." writes Talo Çela.
A day later, on January 8, 2020, he communicates with Mariola Mandin, telling the latter that Durrës' spy, referring to Klevis Alla, was in a room with Rinas's spy, Alkond Bengasi. In this conversation, the date of communication does not correspond as Klevis Alla was arrested in May 2020.
According to the conversation, Alkond Bengasi has turned his statement 360 degrees. Also, from the conversation between Talo Çela and Mariola Mandi, it is evident that the Çala brothers talked with the two spies, Alkond Bengasi and Klevis Alla.
Further, on July 14, 2020, Talo Çela talked to another person, telling him that: "...he hopes there will be no evidence for Rinas...".
Meanwhile, on July 28, 2020, Talo Çela talks to another person, to whom he writes that he will leave for Brazil, where he will take on another identity if there is evidence of his involvement in the Rinas robberies.
This is because, according to him, here in Albania he can be punished with 20 years of imprisonment. Talo Çela also expresses concern about the murders that have occurred.
"...I will go to Brazil, there, under a different name, the evidence came out here for Rinas, I have nowhere to stay here in Albania. It takes 20 years here, plus these fur murders..." says Talo Çela in "Sky".
For the event of the spectacular robbery of 4.6 million euros in the middle of the national airport of Rinas, in April 2019, the Special Court gave the decision in October 2023, sentencing the 7 defendants of the criminal group to 122 years in prison.
The number two of the gang, Klement Çala, will remain behind bars for 20 years, while for the other six arrested for the robbery: Oltion Veseli, Renaldo Sulaj, Saimir Cela, Oltion Pikli, Alkon Bengasi and Eldi Çala, the judging panel gave 17 years each prison for each.
The sentences are lower than those claimed by the Special Prosecutor's Office, which asked for 24 years in prison for Klement Çala, while for the other six defendants, 19 years.
While the accused as part of the gang is also Talo Çela, but the trial for him continues to be separate because he is still on the run, being held in absentia./ Ora news
