Lorenc Lala, also known as Kristian Lala and Ilir Lamberti, 49 years old, born in Lushnje, has been extradited from the United Kingdom to Albania.
He was declared an international wanted person after the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan, with decision no. 691 dated October 1, 2023, had imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on him.
Lala is accused of the criminal offenses of "Murder for blood feud", "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder" in collaboration, "Structured criminal group", and "Committing criminal offenses by a structured criminal group and criminal organization".
According to investigations, he is suspected of collaborating with Laert Haxhiu, Artan Tafan, Lulzim Spahija, Enriko Xhahysan and Bledar Berberi in the murder of Albi Bashaliu, which occurred on December 27, 2021 in Gjocaj, Peqin.
Investigators suspect that Lala financed the crime by giving 50 thousand euros, as well as providing weapons and means of transportation for the criminal group, also helping to remove the perpetrators from the scene after committing the murder.
"The international operation codenamed "The Wanted" continues, for the localization, capture and extradition of internationally wanted citizens.
A citizen accused of providing the means and conditions for the murder of a citizen in 2021, in the village of Gjocaj, Peqin, is being extradited from the United Kingdom.
As a result of the cooperation between Interpol Tirana specialists and their counterparts in the United Kingdom, within the framework of the international operation codenamed "The Wanted", the procedures for the extradition to Albania of the citizen:
-LL alias KL alias IL, 49 years old, born in Lushnja.
This citizen was declared internationally wanted after the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, with the decision dated 01.10.2023, assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Murder for blood feud", "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder", committed in the special form of cooperation, "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by a structured criminal group and criminal organization". The
49-year-old is suspected of having collaborated with citizens LH, AT, LS, E. Xh. and BB, to commit the murder of citizen AB, on 27.12.2021, in the village of Gjocaj, Peqin.
"He is suspected of having provided the weapons to commit this crime and the means of transportation to remove other members of the criminal group from the scene," the police announced.
