The photo of 42-year-old Vilson Shima, arrested by Tirana Police after being caught with about 10 kilograms of suspected cannabis in his vehicle on the Grand Ring Road, has been published.
Police officers blocked the vehicle and handcuffed the 42-year-old. It is reported that the narcotics were placed in a plastic bag and placed in the back of the vehicle.
During the search of the 42-year-old's apartment, police found and seized two pistol-type firearms, two silencers, and combat ammunition. The materials have been sent for expertise, while the arrested man faces several charges, including drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons.
According to information, the police had been monitoring Vilson Shima for some time, as a person suspected of involvement in the sale of narcotics. It is learned that he had obtained the cannabis in the Baldushku area and intended to sell it near the area known as "Kafja e Rremës".
It is also reported that the 42-year-old realized that he was being followed by the police and deviated from the road, attempting to leave in another direction, but was stopped after the intervention of the officers.
The arrested person has no previous criminal record. Meanwhile, investigations continue to identify the buyers of the narcotics as well as other persons suspected of being collaborators in this illegal activity.

The 42-year-old was caught red-handed by the Police services, on the Grand Ring Road, transporting 10 kg of cannabis with the intention of selling it.
The Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Commissariat No. 4, in continuation of their work to crack down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics, based on information obtained in the operational field, about a citizen who was transporting narcotics by vehicle and possessed illegal items in his apartment, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Stop".
As a result of the operation, citizen V. Sh., 42 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested in flagrante delicto.
The 42-year-old was stopped by the Police services on the Grand Ring Road, while driving a vehicle, in which, during the search, a total of 10 kg of suspected cannabis were found, which he is suspected of possessing with the intention of selling.
Further, during the search of his apartment, 2 pistol firearms, 2 silencers and combat ammunition were found and seized.
"The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action ," the police announced.
