A 22-year-old man was handcuffed by the police in Dibër, as the author of the thefts of three vehicles and the license plates of 12 other vehicles.
According to the police, it is suspected that these stolen vehicles and license plates in the areas of the villages of Xibër, Mat and Radovesh, Bulqize, during several months, would be used by other citizens for criminal activities.
It is known that the citizen with the initials EK, 22 years old, resident in the village of Radovesh, was taken into custody.
"He stole 3 vehicles and the license plates of 12 other vehicles, which were suspected to be used by other citizens, for criminal activity, the 22-year-old was identified, caught and put in handcuffs. The structures of the Dibër Local Police Directorate, in implementation of of the measures defined in the national operational plan "Rule of Law", for uncovering the theft of vehicles and their license plates, capturing and bringing the perpetrators to justice, finalized the coded police operation "Intent". As a result of the operation, it was identified, citizen EK, 22 years old, resident of the village of Radovesh, was caught and put in handcuffs.
This citizen is suspected of being the main author of the theft of 3 vehicles (2 of which have been found and the work to find the other vehicle continues) and the license plates of 12 other vehicles, in the areas of the villages of Xibër, Mat and Radovesh, Bulqizë, during a few months.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the stolen license plates would be used by other citizens for criminal activities.
Work continues on documenting other thefts that may have been committed by the EK citizen, identifying his accomplices and bringing them to justice. The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Dibër," the police informs.
