Today, a preliminary hearing was held at the Court of First Instance of the Fier judicial district, against Flori Mukës and Klajdi Mukës, the two perpetrators of the murder of 19-year-old Grei Bihuci.
The 19-year-old lost his life 8 months ago from being stabbed by two of his peers. The relatives of the perpetrators and the victim requested the investigation of other persons who were present in the murder.
Flori and Klajdi Muka appeared in court to face their trial. The testimony of the defendants, Muka, continues to be the one given immediately after the event where it was said that during the fight between two groups of young people, the perpetrators took out a knife and attacked the peers of the opposing group without wanting to kill anyone but only to protect themselves.
According to them, Grei Bihuci was accidentally the victim of the attack.
The lawyer of the Muka cousins asked for the charge to be reclassified from "premeditated murder" to murder under other qualifying circumstances. Bihuci, a student of the "Petro Sota" school, was killed on March 11 amid a fight among his peers that started over a knife bought online.
The teenagers said that the knife with which Gray was killed was given to the Muka cousins by a friend of Gray Bihuci. When he asked for it back, they refused immediately. After several days of arguments between them, on March 11 they let him meet in the center of Fier to "clarify". But the arguments started again and the violence escalated to the use of a knife.
The Muka cousins were arrested immediately after the incident, but the other person who caused the conflict was not included in the investigation. The next hearing for this murder was scheduled for November 27.
