The author of the murder in Athens with a 40-year-old victim, is her partner, as the first evidence shows, writes CNN.gr.
The victim had earlier reported a case of domestic violence to the Police.
The woman was found Thursday morning on Parnithos Street, on the side of the road, with a knife stuck in her stomach.
Homicide detectives immediately ruled out the possibility of a robbery, as her purse, cell phone and wallet were found at the scene of the crime.
At the scene was a key witness of the case who claims to have seen the woman when she was stabbed in the middle of the road.
The police are expected to take a statement from the witness to gather more information about the case.
