The Korça Prosecutor's Office has taken another person under investigation, who is suspected of having participated in the murder of Egli Proga. The young man was raped to death on August 10, 2024 in neighborhood no. 1 of the city of Pogradec, while until now the main suspect was Denis Meçe.
According to the investigating body, Egli Proga was violently attacked not only by Denis Meçe, but also by citizen Leonidha Guçe, who was present in the same bar at the moment the crime occurred.
Leonidha Guçe was initially arrested for the criminal offenses of 'Failure to report a crime' and 'False statements to a judicial police officer', while he is now under investigation for the criminal offense of 'Intentional murder' committed in collaboration.
It is learned that the victim was initially raped inside the bar by citizen Leonidha Guçe and then he was hit when he left the premises by citizen Denis Meçe. The Korça Prosecutor's Office is continuing the investigative actions to fully document the evidence.
The Korça Court has today issued the security measure "Arrest with Imprisonment" for Andi Shkulaku, arrested three days ago by order of the Korça Prosecutor's Office and accused of failing to report a crime. According to the Prosecutor's Office, Shkulaku was an eyewitness to the murder of Egli Proga, but intentionally and intentionally covered up one of the perpetrators of this event, Leonidha Guçe, with whom he had close social relations.
Not only did he not report the crime that occurred, but he also made false statements to the judicial police officer, categorically denying that any violent acts were committed against the victim inside the "Stropcka" bar.
The prosecution informs that new information has come to light after the defendant's confession and the confrontation of the accused involved in the crime.

At the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Korça in cooperation with the State Police, citizen A.Sh. was arrested in flagrante delicto, suspected of the criminal offense of 'Failure to report a crime' and 'False statements before a judicial police officer' provided for by articles 300 and 305/bi of the Criminal Code, in connection with the event that occurred on 10.08.2024 where citizen EP lost his life as a result of the blows received.
Within the framework of the investigations into criminal proceedings no. 1466, dated 12.08.2024, registered for the criminal offense of 'Intentional Murder' against the citizen under investigation DM, new data have come to light after the defendant's confession and the confrontation of the accused involved in this incident.
From the investigations, the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Korça managed to discover that the victim, citizen EP, was violently attacked not only by citizen DM, but also by citizen LG, who was present in the same bar at the moment the incident occurred.
As a result, this citizen, currently under the security measure 'Arrest in prison' for the criminal offenses 'Failure to report a crime' and 'False statements before a judicial police officer', is now under investigation for the criminal offense 'Intentional murder' committed in collaboration, provided for by article 76 and 25 of the Criminal Code.
In the analysis of the acts administered in this criminal proceeding, it resulted that the arrest in flagrante delicto of citizen A.Sh. was made in accordance with legal criteria, since being in the capacity of an eyewitness to the event of 10.08.2024, where the victim citizen EP died, he intentionally and intentionally covered up one of the perpetrators of this event, and more specifically citizen LG with whom he had close social relations.
This citizen, not only did not report the crime that occurred, but also gave false statements to the judicial police officer, categorically denying that any violent acts were committed against the victim inside the "Stropcka" bar.
