The victim, father of three children, 43 years old, has been identified as Shpëtim Ayvazi, 43 years old.

Today, the name of the Albanian executed in the neighborhood of Machelen, on the outskirts of Brussels in Belgium, on the evening of Sunday, August 25, was revealed.

The victim, father of three children, 43 years old, has been identified as Shpëtim Ayvazi, 43 years old. The perpetrator of the crime is the suspected Italian Renato F., 61 years old, a neighbor of the victim, while the motive of the incident is reported by the investigations so far and the dynamics of the crime, that it is the ongoing fight for a parking space for the victim's van in front of the residential building.

During the conflict, while killing Ayvaz, the Italian also shot at the latter's cousin, seriously injuring the 19-year-old and more. He fired bullets at the victim's wife and her 15-year-old son, but luckily they survived.

 "He then pointed the gun at Shpetim's wife and son, as if they were next," a family member told  Het Laatste Nieuws newspaper.

Neighbors confessed that between the two men there were constant verbal clashes and harassment for a long time, as the authorities had not been able to resolve the quarrel. The author, who will appear in court today for a measure, lived alone and was divorced. He was generally described as a calm person, but from time to time he was also "very hot-tempered".

Crime dynamics and evidence

On Sunday evening, around 19:30, Albanian Shpëtim Ayvazi, 43, who worked as a foreman in a plastering company, arrived in his van at Blijde Inkomstraat, in Machelen, Flemish Brabant.

Earlier, he had also gone to the local hairdresser. When his 19-year-old cousin (severely injured), who was visiting his family, arrived, he left the house and got behind the wheel of a "Golf 5" to free up some space for his van. Salvation.

While the two vehicles were parked one behind the other, some unexpected shots were heard on the road.

"My husband and I first thought of fireworks. Young people often blow them up on the street," says a neighbor, interviewed by HLN.

"But after hearing more loud noises, I went to look out the window. Then I saw our neighbor across the street – we call him 'the Italian' – on the street, with a gun in his hand."

Italian Renato F., a 61-year-old single plumber, lives in the house next door to the victim. From the sidewalk, he pointed the gun at the neighbor, who was still in the van, before shooting him in the head.

The father of three did not survive. His 19-year-old cousin, who was also in his car, was shot twice, one in the shoulder and the other in the neck, and the young man is still fighting for his life in hospital.
