The Korça Court sentences Ilirjan Selman, accused of murdering 52-year-old Kozeta Teço, to indefinite imprisonment.
The serious incident occurred on July 28th, where Teço was murdered in her apartment and then, to erase the traces of the crime, the apartment was set on fire.
Initially, the police announced that Kozeta Teço was found dead in the apartment where she lived alone as a result of smoke asphyxiation.
But the incident took a different turn after sources from the investigative team told ABC News that they suspected a criminal incident.
From the preliminary examination of the victim's body, forensic experts found signs of strangulation and injuries with cutting tools.
The police suspected 31-year-old Ilirjan Selman from Pogradeci, who had an intimate relationship with the victim. He has not admitted to the crime.
