Shkruar nga PamfletiThe Greek police have destroyed a criminal organization, some of whose members were Albanians. Members of this criminal organization imposed fines on premises, committed explosions, arson, bodily harm, forgery, theft and drug trafficking.
They were active in different areas of Athens, providing "protection" to the premises, extorting various amounts of money from their owners on a weekly or monthly basis.
Also, it was found that the members of the criminal organization, in addition to the security of the premises, intervened in any incident that could happen between customers, but also mediated in the resolution of personal disputes or between persons, by means of the threat or use of violence in the name of the "Chief their ".
In order to dismantle the criminal organization, in the morning hours of July 14, 2024, a coordinated police operation was carried out, during which 17 people were arrested, of which 3 are already in custody.
The Greek police, among 17 people, have also handcuffed the Albanian citizen Xhorxhi Gjoka, 43 years old, while they have communicated arrest warrants to the Albanians Evis Shyti, 40 years old, Geni Cato, 37 years old from Përmeti and Marsel Stafaj, 36 years old from Tirana. Shyti and Cato were arrested in April of this year as the perpetrators of placing a quantity of explosives on "Skylitsi" street in Piraeus on March 8 of this year. Since the arrest, Shyti is in custody in Trikalla, while Cato is in Nafplio. Meanwhile, Marcel Stafaj, known as "Majk", was arrested in May of this year after the seizure of a shipment of 210 kg of cocaine from Panama in Piraeus. Together with him, two other Albanians were also arrested.
During the search of Xorxhi Gjoka's apartment, 240 euros, 3 mobile phones, 1 metal stick, as well as 1 "Seat" vehicle and a "Honda Varadero" motorcycle were seized. The arrested Albanians turned out to be participants in some of the episodes discovered by the Greek police.
From the prosecution's investigations so far, 78 fines against premises, 5 arsons, of which 1 in a vehicle, 1 explosion in fuel and 1 in a house, as well as 1 case of bodily injury, have been revealed, while during the investigations carried out, among other things, found an arsenal of weapons, quantities of narcotics and large sums of money.
What is alarmingly noted as their special characteristic is the occasional participation of members of the criminal organization in incidents between fans of a football team, such as those that occurred last Saturday outside the stadium in "Leoforos Aleksandras", either in in exchange for some benefits, or for sovereignty, or to cause "harm" to members of another criminal organization, which participated in the group's specific incidents.
According to the Greek police, based on the entire scope of the criminal activity of this organization, it becomes clear that its members consistently and firmly aimed to replace the social role and official duties of the Greek Police, with a clear aim and purpose, that blackmailed parties to refer to the criminal organization "for the solution of any issue" and not to the Greek police.
The dark profile, who are the Albanians with a "burden" of criminal records
Evis Shyti, 40 years old, was the first companion of the godfather of the night Manolis Karagiannis, killed on 6/27/2018, at 10 am, in P. Faliro. Karagiannis, who had a bitter feud with the "Godfather of Godfathers" Vassilis Stefanakos, is considered by authorities to be the notorious criminal behind the murder of retired EKAM special forces officer Spyros Papachristou. Shyti uses six different names such as Evis, Ervis, Kostas, Konstantinos, Kristo and Ilia as well as the surnames Shyti, Rushiti, Boukouvalas and Prifti. Evis Shyti uses a passport with the generals Kristo Prifti, born on 05.06.1984, which in fact turns out to be forged and belongs to a minor Albanian girl born in 2017. Evis Shyti was arrested in 2007 for violating the law "On uninsured vehicles ", in 2011 he was accused of "criminal organization", "murder", "attempted murder", "extortion", "robbery", "attempted fraud", "cleaning of proceeds of crime", in 2013 he was arrested for "arms possession without a permit", in 2014 he was accused of "theft", "robbery", "arson", "forgery", "arms without a permit", in 2022 he was accused of "theft", in 2023 he was accused of "robbery" and " illegal possession of weapons" for two armed robberies at the "AB SHOP & GO" stores in Palio Faliro and in 2024 he was arrested for "explosive explosion", "production and possession of explosive materials", "extortion", "unlicensed possession of weapons" and "property damage".
Geni Cato, 37 years old, was arrested in 2011 for "disturbing the peace in the family", "illegal entry and stay in Greece", "resistance to the police", "forgery" and "violation of the law on immigrants", in 2012 he is arrested for "theft", in 2013 he was arrested for "carrying a weapon without a permit", "attempted theft", "theft" resisting the police" and "violation of the law on immigrants", in 2014 he was arrested after being sentenced to 9 months in prison for "arms without a permit", "resistance to the police" and "violation of the law on immigrants" and a few months later he was arrested again for "criminal organization", "extortion", "arms without a permit", "violation of the law on drugs" , "violation of the law on money laundering and terrorist financing", in 2015 he was arrested for a sentence of 2 years in prison for "false testimony" and after a few months also for "theft", in 2017 he was accused of a residential burglary committed in 2015 and in the same year he was accused of "violation of traffic rules", in 2018 he was arrested for "false evidence", in 2019 he was arrested for "forgery of documents", "forgery", theft, "robbery", "arms without a permit" and "drug law violations", in 2020 he was accused of "arms without a permit" and "drug law violations", in 2022 he was arrested for "drug law violations" and in 2024 for "explosive explosion", "production and possession of explosive materials", "property damage" and "arms possession without a permit".
Marsel Stafaj, 36 years old, was arrested in 2006 for "violation of traffic rules", in 2013 for "use of business without a permit" and "arms without a permit" and in 2024 for "criminal organization" and "violation of the law on drugs".
Xorxhi Gjoka alias Jorgo Gjoka, 43 years old, was arrested in 2000 and 2001 for "violation of traffic rules", in 2003 for "arms without a permit" and in 2011 for "robbery and creation of a criminal organization" and "arms without a permit" .
