As of Sunday, a street in New York City, USA, bears the name of the great Albanian, Isa Boletini. The street, located in Staten Island, was named thanks to the contribution of the Albanian community of New York to exalt the figure of the national hero, one of the signatories and main contributors to the Declaration of Independence of Albania.
The news was also confirmed by Isa Boletini's successor, Gazmendi, who said that the street would be opposite the one called "Ismail Qemali".
Also present at the ceremony was the mayor of Mitrovica, Faton Peci. “This moment marks not only respect for an indestructible symbol of freedom, but also the strong and enduring bond between the Albanian people and the United States. Isa Boletini in New York is a powerful message to the younger generations that freedom and dignity are values that must be defended every day,” he said.
