Prime Minister Edi Rama remembered this Wednesday, January 21, the 15th anniversary of the event where four people were killed during the 2011 protest.
Through a post on social media, Rama states that even after 15 years, justice for the victims has not been served.
"GOOD MORNING and today, on the 15th anniversary of an unprecedented state crime in the history of the new Albanian democracy, when four murdered people still cannot rest in peace and justice resembles a turtle praying for oblivion, with the conviction that no matter how late justice is, it will not forget on January 21, I wish you all a good day," Rama writes.
The event of January 21 continues to remain one of the most serious episodes in the history of the Albanian transition, while the justice process for this issue has been the subject of ongoing political and institutional debates.
