The leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, has demanded an account from the floor of the Parliament regarding an interpellation requested by him on the issue of the Thumanë-Kashar project, emphasizing that the delays in its handling are unjustified.
He stated that, despite the changes in duties, those responsible for this issue must be held accountable, while criticizing the fact that the interpellation has not been conducted and has even been removed from the Assembly's work program.
Shehaj also raised concerns about the functioning of the justice system, stating that the Supreme Court is creating opportunities for the release of persons involved in corruption cases. He stressed that it is unacceptable for an interpellation to be delayed for two years.
"The last request for an interpellation with Belinda Balluku regarding the Thumanë-Kashar scandal was made in October. Not only was the interpellation not made, but you removed it from the work program and the excuse that she is no longer in office does not hold up."
How is it possible that requests for interpellation disappear from the work program. You cannot avoid accountability, you must account for how Balluku stole Albanians. Attempted to vote against her arrest, with the Constitutional Court, by order of Rama, today the College has met to release those who are inside. I am making the interpellation on behalf of the 50 thousand citizens who voted for us. You are not used to interpellations that burn you. 2 years for an interpellation. I ask that it be placed on the work program as soon as possible", he said.
